What is Ferguson Online?
Ferguson Online is a business-to- business transactional website for current Ferguson business customers to do business with us over the Internet.

How much does it cost to use Ferguson Online?
Ferguson Online is free to use. The only thing you pay for are the products you purchase.

What will Ferguson Online do for me?
Ferguson's website gives you 24 hour access to account and product information that will help you run your business more effectively. Sign in at your convenience to:

  • Search or navigate the industry's largest online product selection
  • Get your net price
  • Check "real-time" product availability at your local branch network, distribution center, or the entire Ferguson network
  • Create and save quotes
  • Place orders or check the status of existing orders
  • View product information, images, and details
  • Get product specifications and other supporting documents
  • View your accounts payable information
  • Print duplicate statements

To save time and reduce your daily hassle, the site lets you:

  • Load and use your own codes and descriptions for product searches
  • Import spreadsheets where you keep standard purchase orders or regularly ordered products, and automatically convert them to orders
  • Manage user access privileges and purchase order approval limits for your employees at your convenience
  • Contact your salesperson via email while you are in the site
  • Contact customer service for assistance

How do I register to use Ferguson Online?
To use Ferguson Online, you must be a current Ferguson business customer. If you are interested in setting up an online account, please contact your local Ferguson salesperson for details.

My company is set up to use Ferguson Online. How do I get access?
Contact the person in your company who is set up as the Company Administrator for your Ferguson Online account. This person will have to set you up with access and permissions.

What kind of payment is accepted?
Customers using Ferguson Online must have an established account in good standing with Ferguson. No other forms of payment are accepted at this time.

I'm a homeowner. Can I order online?
Because Ferguson Online is a business-to-business transactional website, homeowners should visit their local showroom location to select and purchase products.

Who do I contact if I have a question or comment?
If you have a question that you don't see here, feel free to submit it by using the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page. Or, get in touch with your local Ferguson salesperson.

  1. Click the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page.
  2. Click the dropdown arrow to select a topic.
  3. Enter your questions, comments, or concerns.
  4. Select the contact method you prefer - by email or by phone. If you select phone, enter your area code and phone number (format ###-###-####).
  5. Click Submit.

Sign In

How do I sign in and create my password for the first time?
The very first time you sign in, you will be asked to create a new password. In future sessions, you can sign in directly from the main page.

  1. Once your online account is set up, you will receive an email containing a one-time-only link. Click this link to access the page where you create your password for the very first time.
  2. In the New Password field, enter your password.
  3. In the Confirm New Password field, enter your password again. (Note that pasting is not allowed in this field.)
  4. Click Submit.

How do I sign into Ferguson Online?
To use Ferguson Online, you must have an online account set up with Ferguson.

  1. On the Ferguson Online main page, enter your email address in the Email box.
  2. Enter your password.
    Note: You have three attempts to sign in with your email address and password before the account is locked. Check your sign in information, wait ten minutes for the lock to release, then enter the correct information.
    If you want Ferguson Online to remember your email address going forward, select Remember me. (This does not store or remember your password.)
  3. Click Sign In.

What is 'Remember me'?
If you want Ferguson Online to remember your email address going forward, select Remember me. (This does not store or remember your password.)

I forgot my password. How do I find out what it is?
If you forget your password, you will need to reset it to create a new one.

  1. On the Ferguson Online main page, click the link: Forgot your password.
  2. In the Email Address field, enter the email address you are currently registered with.
  3. Click Send Me a Link. You will receive a link at this email address. (This link is good one time only. If you request another link before using this one, the new link voids the previous one.)
  4. In the email, click the link to create a new password.
  5. Using the password rules, enter your new password.
  6. Confirm your new password by entering it again. (Note that pasting is not allowed in this field.)
  7. Click Submit.

What are the password rules?
Your password is case-sensitive. Please note whether your Caps Lock key is on or off.

Choose a password that

  • contains at least 6 characters
  • contains at least 1 letter (upper or lower case)
  • contains at least 1 symbol or number

For security purposes we recommend not using

  • blank spaces
  • your email address
  • your name

My email address has changed. How do I sign in now?
Ferguson Online does not recognize your new email address. To sign in, you will have to use your old email address, then update your account information with your new email address.

  1. Sign in with your old email address.
  2. On the Profile tab at the top of the page, click View My Account Info.
  3. Enter your new email address.
  4. Enter your new email address again to confirm it.
  5. Click Update My Account.

I signed in, then got sidetracked. Why was I signed out when I returned?
This is a security measure. If there is no activity on your computer for two hours, your session times out and signs you off. Any order or quote that was in progress will retain order information only from the last time you saved.

What are the minimum system requirements to use Ferguson Online?
In order to run efficiently on your computer, Ferguson Online has the following minimum requirements:

Operating system: Windows 2003 - HP-UX 11.11
Screen resolution: Best viewed at 1024 x 768 or higher (For information on how to change screen resolution, refer to Microsoft.com - Change your monitor resolution.)
Internet connection: The faster the connection, the better the experience
Web browser: Internet Explorer 7+ - Safari - FireFox - Chrome
PDF reader: Adobe Acrobat Reader or other PDF viewer

What browsers does Ferguson Online support?
Ferguson Online is optimized for:

  • Internet Explorer 7+
  • Safari
  • FireFox
  • Chrome

Note: Older browsers may work, but some features or functionalities may be degraded or disappear. The online help feature is not available for Safari or Chrome browsers.

What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file containing bits of information stored by your browser on your computer. Cookies are convenient for repeat visits to Ferguson Online. For example, a cookie allows us to identify you as a registered user, remember your username, or retain your site preferences, so that you do not need to specify these at every visit. They do not divulge personal information about you.

Why doesn't Ferguson Online remember my username?
Cookies must be enabled to use Ferguson Online. There are several possible reasons:

  • If the cookies were deleted from your computer, you must enter your sign in information again, select Remember me, and click Sign In.
  • If your browser is set to reject cookies, you must change it to accept cookies. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Advanced to ensure that first and third party cookies are being accepted.
  • If you are not using the computer you registered on, the cookies that recognize you are not there. You must enter your sign in information again, select Remember me, and click Sign In.

How do I ensure I am viewing the latest content updates?
The browser cache stores copies of web pages you visit, so pages retrieved by your browser cache may not contain the latest page updates. In Internet Explorer, to ensure you see the latest content:

  1. Click Tools > Internet Options > General.
  2. In the Temporary Internet Files section, click Settings.
  3. Set "Check for newer versions of stored pages" to Automatically.

Why does it take so long for the web pages to load?
To make re-loading quicker, the browser cache stores copies of the web pages you visit. If your browser cache gets too big, it can make page loading slow. To clear your cache in Internet Explorer:

  1. Click Tools > Internet Options > General.
  2. In the Temporary Internet Files section, click Delete Files.
  3. Click OK.
